主要从事沉积学、地球化学教学与科研工作。2006年获得中国科学院地球化学研究所“地球化学”博士学位,2005年12进入bat365官网登录入口任教。先后在台湾国立中央大学从事博士后和英国牛津大学访问学者研究。现为我校地球科学系教授,国家自然科学基金、重庆市科委、重庆市规划与资源局、广西自然科学基金等项目评审专家;《Journal of Asian Earth Sciences》、《Minerals》、《Geological Journal》以及《矿物学报》、《岩性油气藏》等学术期刊审稿专家。
先后主持了国家自然科学基金4项(面上项目2项、国家基金专项1项、青年基金1项),省部级科研项目3项。近年来,通过古生物学、碳氧同位素地层学以及生物标志化合物等,对青藏高原侏罗系地层,尤其是富含有机质的黑色页岩以及Toarcian 大洋缺氧事件等热点问题开展了系统研究,并取得了一定的研究成果。比如,根据藏北羌塘盆地侏罗纪黑色页岩的机碳同位素发生了2.17‰正偏移,首次提出藏北早Toarcian 期大洋缺氧事件的存在,这与欧洲同期大洋缺氧事件可对比(陈兰等,2007;Chen et al.,2005,2017);首次在羌塘盆地发现了钙质超微化石(Chen et al., 2006),解决了长期以来存有争议的地层时代问题(Chen et al., 2016, 2019,2023)。在国内外学术刊物上发表学术论文30余篇,其中第一作者或通讯作者论文被SC收录12篇,包括Newsletters on Stratigraphy, Marine and Petroleum Geology, Journal of Asian Earth Sciences, Oil Shale等刊物。目前正在开展的工作主要聚焦在陕北鄂尔多斯盆地早侏罗世富县组、四川盆地大安寨段、重庆地区五峰组-龙马溪组以及羌塘盆地三叠纪,主要基于详细的野外地质调查系统开展沉积学、古生物学、同位素等方面的研究工作,以期探讨黑色页岩与T-OAE的成因机制。
